Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill September 2005

Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

With the speed of the Griffin’s flight, summer has come and gone. As the children head back to school and our camping season nears its end, Her Excellency and I sit back and reflect on another great year… The Griffin coming to the aide of the Dragon in the east with the Falcon and the Stag at either side, it was an amazing Pennsic and Northshield was distinguished and impressive in its first year as a Kingdom. The “heat of battle” held new meaning at WW and the event was so plum full with activities that Her Excellency and I barely had a chance to sit. There are so many new wonderful memories thanks to all of our SCA family and so many more to come as our fall season heralds the Coronation of TRH Kitadate-denka and Aesa and wistfully the end of a wonderful reign of TRM Tarrach and Fina. But the cycle must continue and a new Prince and Princess must be determined in the coming months. And so with excitement we shift to the new season.

Our September moot will be quite eventful as well. We will be holding the competition for a new Arts and Sciences Champion as our existing Champion, Toma has indicated he is ready to pass on the honor to another. So please bring out your projects to show to our populace in order that you may be the next Nordskogen Arts and Sciences Champion. Also, at our moot Maestra Giovanna will be sponsoring the Largess Competition, so you could actually kill two birds with one stone if your A&S project is something that can be given as Largess. We look forward to seeing the talents and skills of Nordskogen’s artisans!
