Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill October 2005
Good tidings and salutations from Their Excellencies Khadijah and Rodrigo.
The last winds of summer blew through our lands with a vengeance, bringing the cool weather and the colors of autumn. We hope everyone fared well in the storms and suffered no damage to themselves or their manors.
This month, we welcome our new Chronicler, Mistress Cinniu ingen Cuthbaid, and give heartfelt thanks to Lord Will Douglas for all his hard work on the Quill and his unfailing support of the Barony.
We also welcome our new Arts & Sciences Champion, Lady Thuri Landsverk, who will stand at our backs to represent all of the artisans of Nordskogen. Thanks to Lord Toma Mikhailovich Barsukov, as he steps down as Champion, for his encouragement and support of the arts and sciences. By his words and his deeds, he is truly a champion. Thank you to all who entered the A&S championship competition. We are amazed and delighted by the many skills and talented artisans in our Barony.
We look forward to seeing all of you at our Folk Moot and also at events around the Kingdom. We encourage you to band together, sharing the expense of travel, to attend the events hosted by our brothers and sisters of Northshield so we may lend them the strength of our numbers.
May sunshine always grace your face so shadow never will.
