Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

By the time you read this, many of us will have attended a wonderful Schutzenfest event with stories in abundance to relay. Others of us will have attended a wonderful Coronation of our very own Royal Majesties Alasdair and Guenievre with stories of how wonderful an event that was. Our thanks goes to all those who helped Schutzenfest be such a wonderful event, especially to Lady Caoilfhionn and her staff; a special warm congratulations goes to Their Majesties; and a personal thanks goes to each of those who traveled to Their Coronation to support Them in Their reign.

Right now, your probably planning or just returning from Coronet as well. Another warm congratulations goes out to Their Stellar Highnesses (or soon-to-be Stellar Highnesses) and thank you to those who made that journey as well.

In addition, there have been quite a few individuals who have recently helped in making baronial gifts for our native Royalty. We really appreciate their donation of time and efforts. The Barony is not made up of land or of presiding Nobility, it is made up of the hearts and efforts of the people who care enough to give their time and labors to make this Barony the wonderful, generous, stable, united (okay, I could go on for a while, but…) place it is. Please take time to thank those around you for that.

Another wonderful project that is under way within the Barony is the Baronial Library lead by our Librarian, THL Christian d’Hiver. Please take the time to dig out some Arts and Sciences ‘How To’ articles you have and make two copies to give to THL Christian. The Baronial Library can be a great resource for us all if we make sure we feed it all our individual resources.

We have been concentrating lately on many improvements within the Barony, such as; the Baronial Library, alternate/permanent meeting locations, a Baronial University of NordSkogen (BUNS), supporting our Cantons, and much more. Two words, ‘Don’t Stop’! This is really great! This is a sign that our Barony is very healthy and thriving. As such, the Barony is in a great position to look to our neighboring groups and see what support we can give them. The Principality will need strong and healthy groups as it moves forward towards Kingdom status. Nordskogen is in a great position to be able to help its neighbors by supporting their demo’s, helping them with events, and attending practices and social gatherings. We are attempting to organize this support and need your help. Please pick a neighboring group that is within your traveling range and work with them in their upcoming activities and work with us in fostering and strengthening close friendships with those who neighbor our borders. Thank you in advance for your caring and your efforts in this.
