Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill November 2005
Good Tidings and Salutations from Their
Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,
Alas it quite disturbs me to tell you this. Our Gatekeeper of the
South, the Dark Baron Aaron has a dastardly plan for my Baroness,
the Jewel of Nordskogen, Kateryn of Roseberry Topping known in the
loving hearts of the Barony as Khadijah. He has conspired to have
her attired in something completely not to her liking… armored up as
a heavy fighter. Fear not good gentles, there is still hope for our
lovely Baroness. There is a competition between the Dark Baron Aaron
and our Shimmering Baroness Khadijah to collect the most fundraising
towards new Baronial Thrones on behalf of either cause. And should
we be successful in putting down this rebellious behavior of the
Sinister Baron, we also get the benefit of seeing Baron Aaron
dressed in a most uncomplimentary ensemble deviously crafted by HE
Giulia.
Congratulations to our new Prince and Princess, TRH Lars and Mary
from the lands of our very Barony. Remember reigning over our
Kingdom is a very arduous and difficult task. Please assist Their
Highnesses so that They may have a successful Reign as Prince and
Princess and one day King and Queen. This means helping out with
gifts, scrolls, award recommendations, traveling, retaining, making
of tokens, and in general helping Them with the efforts They do to
provide the magic of our game to the entire Kingdom.
There are still a few events yet to occur this year. Please strongly
consider grouping together in travel arrangements so Nordskogen can
make a strong showing at Althing in Windhaven, Clothier’s Seminar in
Rockhaven, Yuletide Revel in Border Downs, and Boar’s Head in Caer
Anterth Mawr.
We are fast approaching the times when we warm ourselves by our
hearths and travel less frequently to visit our friends. However,
remember in the holiday seasons that are fast coming upon us to be
thankful for the friendships, the inspirations, and the efforts of
many who have made this past year so marvelous. Make an effort to
let these people who are and have become special over the past year
know what they’ve meant to you.
May sunshine always grace your face so shadow never will.
