Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

Please offer your congratulations to our new Armored Combat Champion, Lord Ilya Mstivslavich. We are very proud to have him as an example of excellence in armored combat in our Barony. Special thanks goes to Sgt. Vladimir Radescu for his years of service as the former Baronial Heavy Champion who was finally paid in all the 'bars' of silver he could carry away from our court.

At our June Folk Moot, on Wednesday, June 3rd, we will be holding our Rapier Champion Tournament. For those of you thinking of competing in this please inform our current Rapier Champion, Warder Simon Morcar of your intent. Combatants will be expected to present themselves and anyone that they may be fighting for prior to the tournament in procession and are encouraged to be heralded in with formal introductions listing any honors, awards, or achievements.

On Sunday, June 6th we will be having an Archery Moot for our Archery Champion Shoot. Archer's will be expected to present themselves and anyone whose honor they may be shooting for prior to the tournament in procession and are encouraged to be heralded in with formal introductions listing any honors, awards, or achievements. Besides the Champion Shoot, there will be other Kingdom shoots occurring at the Moot. Please come by to support the Archer's or to compete as one of them.

We have decided to choose our next Youth Champion and will be announcing our choice at the May Folk moot. We have realized that there would be no fair way to hold a prowess based tournament with the various age groups and the different types of combat available and therefore will ask those who we feel embody the ideals of champion to hold this position going forward.

We have several opportunities for people to give service to the Barony coming up. The positions of Exchequer, Web Minister, and Chatelaine are all accepting applications at this time. Please support the Barony where you can, such as in a position as an officer of the Barony, as a deputy to an officer, or as staff at one of the many events sponsored by the Barony.

Not too long after you read this letter, we will soon have heirs to a new kingdom. This is a very special and exciting time. It is also a time that you can make a difference in helping shape the kingdom we will soon have. There will undoubtedly be lots of opportunities to help out with many things. Please contact the Heir's chamberlain if there is something you can help Them with and heed the calls for help when you seem them posted. And as always, come out and play at as many events as you can make, that's where you can display your pride of being a Northshield-er!
