Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

Congratulations to our new Baronial Pursuivant, Lady Ursula von Linden. Also, a very special thanks to Lord Leolin Gofar for his efforts in this role and his ongoing support of heraldry within the Barony and within the College of Arms.

Sunday, February 29th from 1pm - 5pm, we will be having a Town Meeting to discuss 'Big Picture' topics regarding what we want in the future for the Barony of Nordskogen. This is the time for all of us who care about Nordskogen to come together with ideas and thoughts of what we'd like to see. Also, remember that an idea is only as good as its giver's intention on following through. So if you do have ideas, take ownership and develop strategies on how they can be accomplished.

At our April Folk Moot, on Wednesday, April 7th, we will be holding our Armored Combat Champion Tournament. Please come to support our fighters and for those of you thinking of competing please inform our current Heavy Champion, Sgt. Vladimir Radescu of your intent. Combatants will be expected to present themselves and anyone that they may be fighting for prior to the tournament in procession and are encouraged to be heralded in with formal introductions listing any honors, awards, or achievements.

As we have said before, we take our Champions very seriously. We look to our champions to be leader's in their communities by teaching and helping others, by holding our honor in trust with actions befitting a Champion, and by wearing the mantel of Champion when competing within their activities (be it tabard, baldric, or favor). We expect our Champions to plan on attending locally sponsored events whenever possible and to make an attempt to attend folk moots where there will be court held when their schedule allows it.

Great news! We have filled all our department head positions for WWXI. Special thanks to all who have agreed to take on these roles. Please support them by volunteering some of your time or working as one of their deputies.

Also, there are a lot of local events that will be occurring in the spring, please see what you can do to help fill roles and/or volunteer.

Once again, we would like to encourage all to come to Their Majesties and Their Stellar Highnesses call to support our allies in the south at Gulf Wars. This is a fabulous war that has a very respectable Northshield attendance. In fact Northshield has received some notoriety over the last few Gulf Wars in their successes in tournament and melee on both armored and rapier fields. Help keep this tradition alive and growing by answering the call to war!
