Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

We first would like to emphasize how important the Northshield Kingdom Poll is. Whatever your opinion or lack of opinion is, please respond to your Kingdom Poll and get it in the mail before the deadline on March 1st, even if only to abstain. Our Barony, the Principality, and the SCA at large is made up of people who give of themselves selflessly to make the dream real for all of us. Please do your part by responding, every vote counts and let the Principality, the Kingdom, and the Board of Director's know you care.

We want to thank those who helped with the Midrealm Hood project so far. A 100 yards of material was given to Mistress Cassandra, at the meeting on February 12th 115 hoods were cut out and pinned, between that night and the following night at the sewing group, 45 hoods were completed and 23 more were partially completed. Thank you to all those who have helped so far and will be helping finish up this project. This Barony is truly made up of those who give of themselves.

And on that note, we have many officer positions that are turning over within the next few months. We have received years of dedication and service from the existing officers, but they do deserve some rest. The Barony is not made up of the service of a few, but the service of the many, as we have just proven with the Midrealm Hood project. Please look within yourselves to see if you can step forward and give your service to the Barony and allow our existing officer's their respite. The positions of Knight's Marshal, WW Long Range Planning Member-at-Large, Archery Captain, Rapier Captain, Chronicler, and Seneschal will all becoming or have become available, we look forward to seeing your applications for these positions and we thank you in advance as the weight of the Barony rests lightly on the shoulder's of many.

Finally, we want to welcome a visiting cousin from the south. Baron Malachi von Uri of the Barony of Forgotten Sea (Kansas City) will be staying in our Barony for about a month on business. You'll likely see him at upcoming meetings or practices. Please show him the warmth and hospitality that we're known for in Nordskogen.
