Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill September 2007

Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

We cannot express how proud we are of Mistress Cinniu for winning the William Blackfox Award for her work on producing the Quill. This publication is the one opportunity to reach out to everyone in the Barony who would like to stay informed. Mistress Cinniu took it upon herself to make it a valued and interesting read and is well recognized for that!

Pennsic was wet! But it was great, great fun! Northshield looked cohesive and formidable as an Army. And Khadijah and I hired the mercenary unit of Argent Lupe to properly represent the power of our Barony at war. (It was a hoot!) We paid them in chocolate, booze, and duct tape and had a contract scribed and a banner for them to fight under with the compass star and argent lupe wolf. Why the star and not the Snowflake? Because historically, we would have been bound to bring so many men to fight for our Kingdom if called to war, however we could always supplement the numbers with mercenaries to prevent the loss of labor to our lands.

There is rumor that our Storm King and our Beautiful Queen are in need of rest and a new Prince and His Princess are eager to take up the load. We want to thank HRM Hrodir and HRM Giulia for Their service to the populace of Northshield and the "coolness" They spread through the lands!

We are zeroing in on the deadline for Baronial candidates, it's a wonderful opportunity and if you are hesitant remember you are providing options for the Barony by entering your name into the hat and that by itself is a great thing to offer!
