Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill July 2007

Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

Most of you will receive this either right before or right after Warlords and Warriors, we hope that you will be able to make the event as it is a chance to see friends from all over Northshield and the Known World. As you have most likely heard, our Autocrat team has procured a new site for this year with only a month’s notice to do so. We are so grateful that WW will happen this year and despite the lack of shade are certain that once our sea of pavilions and decorations flow across the lands there that the site will have our own ambiance to liven it up. Please take the time to thank the autocrat staff for making WW happen despite such overwhelming odds against. We will be holding a Baronial Court on Friday afternoon at 5:30 on the Village Green immediate prior to the Baronial Festival.

We had a wonderful time at Naadam: Schutzenfest on the Steppes and want to thank the autocrat, Her Ladship Caoilfhionn, and her staff and the feast-o-crat, Mistress Aramanthra, and her staff as well. The arching was great fun with several fun novelty shoots and a true to height and scale castle window to shoot at. The equestrian activities were also a blast! And the feast was incredible and a well deserving standing round of applause was given to Mistress Aramanthra and staff. Our congratulations go out to His Lordship Hrothgar Ingeld for becoming the new Schutzenkoenig.

Finally, once again its time to put our thoughts to our allies and the Pennsic War in the East. The drums of war are pounding and Our Storm King, Hrodir, has called forth on His populace and His Baronages to muster to the Northshield banner’s and roll forth onto our enemies like the thundering, angry storm. Please come out and play in the storm!
