Their Excellencies letter to the populace from The Quill March 2007

Good Tidings and Salutations from Their Excellencies Rodrigo and Khadijah,

As I write this, I'm preparing for this weekend's Squirrely Wrath. I am looking forward to a day of 'Nutty Hell' (the theme being Dante's Tour of Hell). I am certain the demonic revelries will be enjoyable for all and I'd like to give appreciation in advance to the College of Nordleigh for continuing to entertain us with their inventive events.

Forty Strong Must Our Rapier Army Be! Twenty-Five Strong Must Our Spear Line Contain! These are the commands of our King! Black and Gold Shall Shine Brightly Through Out the Land! This is the command of our Queen! Gulf Wars is upon us and our Crown is requesting your presence. Northshield is known as one of the greatest rapier factors to tip the scales of who will win the rapier war points at Gulf Wars. This year we aim to establish ourselves as a major factor on other fields and activities. So bring your skill sets and your place is the army of Northshield will be assured. All that being said, its really a fun, fun, fun event so try and make it if at all possible!

And yet Gulf Wars is not the only war to look to this year. A great war of the Dragon and the Tiger is brewing in the East. Our Prince Hrodir and Princess Guilia will succeed Their parents and lead us to battle once again. Remember, Pennsic War is a week earlier this year to make it fit better with fall school schedules. So if in the past it hasn't worked for you, look again at the first week in August to see if you can make War Week this year and join the Northshield Army once again in battle.

We have finally received some bids to make new High Seats for the Barony. We will be discussing these with the finance committee and presenting our choices to the Barony. There is a possibility we could have these by WW this year. Stay tuned…
